About Roman

The continued search to find the limits of what is possible and refining what exists is what brought Roman to train and work the way that he does.

From a young age, Roman had an interest in bodies, both in how they function and the limits of their possibility. He grew up studying the Japanese martial art of Kempo, belonging to the NYC branch of Shorinji Kempo until he moved to California to study Bio-engineering at University of California at Berkeley. It was martial arts that first began developing his foundation in body mechanics, discipline and attentiveness.

Upon returning to NYC in his early twenties to pursue the physical artform of circus and aerial acrobatics, he continued to hone his physical skills and knowledge through performance and training, also returning to martial arts, this time through Brazilian jiujitsu and kickboxing.

Roman applied this varied physical background as he began his training career teaching circus conditioning, using it to bring out the best, most functional and efficient performance out of anyone attending his classes regardless of their experience or level, and eventually moving on to apply his breadth of knowledge beyond the circus community, getting his NASM certification in order to apply his training skills to a wider audience.

Roman discovered the benefits of Rolfing Structural Integration after it helped him bounce back to peak performance after several injuries that would otherwise have had lasting effects on his training. But, it was after recognizing the increased somatic awareness and efficiency of movement that he also unexpectedly gained from the sessions that Roman realized how important of a tool Structural Integration was, not just for athletes but for anyone inhabiting a body, and went on to incorporate it into his practice, getting his certification from the Doctor Ida Rolf Institute.

Certified Personal Trainer and IASI Board Certified Structural Integrator, Roman Nadolishny’s goal is to create a space for all of his clients where they can learn to fully embody themselves in order to not only achieve but go beyond their structural and fitness goals, whether that be rehabilitating from an injury, pain relief, general well-being, strength/conditioning or optimizing their athletic performance.

Roman incorporates all tools synergistically to help anyone, regardless of their starting point, improve what it means to exist in their body and maximize their potential, whatever their goal.
